Song Share – Gold Can Turn To Sand
Hello, there! I’d love to share a song with you that’s been floating around in my head this week. The melody is gorgeous, even if the song is a touch melancholy. I hope you enjoy! How has your week gone?

Hello there, How are you? Yesterday, I wrote a poem – because I wanted to. (Get it?) It sounds best when it’s read out loud, so I created this quick and goofy recording of me reading it. I hope you like it! I Want To Write A Poem Ellie Cummins I want to write a poem, But I don’t know what to say. My head is feeling useless And […]
Hi, there! We’re currently in Washington D.C., seeing all the sights to be had. I’d love to share some photos with you!
The Cummins family got to take a tour of the houses where the Adams lived. We learned so many fascinating things about their history. I’d love to share some of it with you!
Howdy, What’ve you been up to? Yesterday, I had the amazing chance to attend my first conference about inbound marketing! It’s called INBOUND17 and roughly 20,000 people have been attending (the conference isn’t over until tomorrow). The atmosphere is almost like a party, with food trucks and adult swings and blaring lights and music. I enjoyed the unique experience and wanted to share some photos! What was one thing that […]
Hi, there! What’ve you been up to today? The Cummins kids are in possession of a new learning assignment: to write a list of ten words and their meanings each week. The words can come from things we’ve heard, books we’re reading, and occasionally a dictionary or thesaurus. (I say occasionally because the main point is learning words in the real world.) After the list is amassed, we are expected […]
Hi, there! We rode a ferry over Lake Champlain last Saturday. We started in New York and finished in Grand Isle, Vermont. (I didn’t know until the ferry ride that Vermont owns an island!) From there, we drove into the rest of Vermont by bridge. The ride only lasted fifteen minutes, but it was such fun. The reason I wanted to share is that we took our camper, too! (Which […]
We were driving along in a sleepy little town on Sunday when our truck put up the words “trailer brakes disconnected.” As Dad started pulling off the road, the lady behind us rolled down her window and told us something was smoking. Sure enough, our camper’s wheel bearings burned right off. God caused a lot of kind people to help us, and we ended up getting towed and boon docking […]
Hi, Folks! How are you? We’re in the truck, driving to Wilmington, New York. I’d love to share a quick free-verse I wrote about a sunset I saw while we were driving through Pennsylvania (before Pennsylvania becomes too far away). There were dark rain clouds contrasting with a glowing sunset. I took a little poetic license to increase the drama. Pennsylvania Sky The world lay sleeping beneath a leaden blanket […]
Hi, Folks, How are you? We embarked yesterday on another Cummins Crew camping adventure! This one’s North-bound, with much cooler temps. We drove eleven and a half hours yesterday, which makes today’s six hour ride seem smooth and breezy. We’re heading to Buffalo, New York, today to see Niagra Falls (I’m writing this in the truck on my handy new WordPress app!) Our family just finished a fascinating tour of […]
