My “Thank You” List

Thanksgiving. What a wonderful day.

Besides the fact that you get to stuff yourself with amazing food, hang out with the cousins and have more than one dessert, it’s such a great reminder to be thankful for the good things in our lives.

I’d love to share with you a few a lot of the things that I’m thankful for. 🙂

Please note that were I to list to each category every single thing I was thankful for, you’d be reading this all night 😉

My Thank You List

Thank You, God:

  • for every breath You give me
  • for giving me peace
  • for being who You are

Thank You, Jesus:

  • for being willing to die to save me
  • for conquering death
  • for loving the unlovable
  • for changing my life

Thank you, Dad:

  • for the spontaneous adventures and goofy things we do in public
  • for your jolly personality
  • for loving God so genuinely

Thank you, Mom:

  • for always coming in to check on me at night
  • for teaching me how to love learning
  • for being so cool
  • for giving me hugs when I’m down

Thank you, Micah:

  • for all the giggles, guffaws, and cracking up that goes on every second of the day.
  • for how loud we get when we’re excited to share something funny
  • for wanting to do what’s right

Thank you, Anna:

  • for being so cute
  • for being nice to me even when I’m grumpy
  • for having such an unbelievable imagination
  • for singing at the top of your lungs when you get ready in the morning
  • for whistling all the time

Thank you, Family:

  • for our special “evenings”
  • for the hugs in the mornings
  • for the “I love you’s” at night

Thank you, Grandparents:

  • for always remembering my birthday
  • for the hugs, kisses, and love!

Thank you, Aunts and Uncles:

  • for being groovy and fun
  • for having awesome kids (see below)

Thank you, Cousins:

  • for your adventurous spirits
  • for being sweet
  • for playing Hobbit, “orphans,” and whatever else we come up with
  • for liking all the same things I do

Thank you, Neighborhood Kids:

  • for always keeping things lively
  • for the many games of “house”, “survivors”, and “hide ‘n’ go seek”
  • for providing arbitrary discussions on the swing set

Thank you, Music Teachers:

  • for being so swell
  • for not only inspiring me, but engaging with me
  • for showing me how awesome music is

Thank you, Friends (including aforementioned people):

  • for talking with me
  • for listening to my “aha” moments and sharing yours
  • for being yourself
  • for being willing to spend time with me

Wow. That was a long list, even after I took out the “thank you to the people at the grocery store.”

If you wrote a “thank you” list, what’s one thing you would write?

Thanks for reading!
