Broken
Hey, folks!
I’m here today with a song I wrote, called “Broken.”
I would love for you to take a listen!
Verse 1:
Broken gears and broken locks
We’re all lonely, faceless clocks
Broken hearts and broken minds
We’re all crooked, straying lines
And the lines don’t have a point
And the clocks, they’re winding down
We’re all stained and we’re all lost
We’re just waiting to be found.
Chorus:
We were broken
We were scarred and we were stained
We were searching
We were searching for His Name
He was broken
So that we’d be whole again
He has rescued
He has rescued
Those who were broken
Verse 2:
Mended gears and keys for locks
We are ticking, salvaged clocks
Hearts are healed and minds set free
And the lines are straight and deep
And the lines, they have a point
And the clocks, they’re timeless now
We’ve been rescued from time’s hold
We’ve were lost and now we’re found
CHORUS
Bridge:
Now gears are turning
Clocks are ticking
Minds are healing
Hearts are singing
CHORUS 2x
Broken, broken, broken, those who were broken
Broken, broken, broken, those who were broken
Oh, He has rescued, rescued
Those who were broken
Are there any songs you adore? I’d love to hear about them!

Wow, Ellie, that was amazing. I was listening to the song and Roger walked by saying, ‘Who’s that?” And I told him it was you and you were singing an original song and he said, ‘Wow, that’s a great song! ” So cool. Thanks for sharing. 🎶😁
Thank you so much, Mrs. Fab. 🙂 I’m tickled pink! 😀 Praise God that He is willing to fix those who are “Broken.” 😉
What a meaningful song, Ellie. It blesses my heart and I’m sure will many others. Heartfelt words, tender. Love you, Ellie
Grandma
Thank you, Grandma! I’m so glad to hear you say that. 😀 I wanted to write a song about how shattered we are as humans. But I realized as I was writing it that it didn’t portray the whole picture. Yes, we are broken, but there is a God who is willing and waiting to fix us!
