Bending Tree by Ellie
Oh bending tree
Please speak to me
And tell me the tales of the past.
For I am as curious as can be
And to you my eyes are cast.
I’m seeking to know of my ancestor’s lives;
Of their families: their sons, their daughters, and wives.
I wish to hear of their beliefs;
Of their Kings and Queens and Indian Chiefs.
I want to know more of their honorable toil;
Of their tilling, and plowing, and planting of soil.
I want to learn, too, for rain and for snow,
The methods they used so long ago.
Oh bending tree,
Can you hear me?
I’m as curious as can be!
I am so misunderstood! I really am a bending tree in life! (just kidding. this poem was awesome)
Nice poem! xD
