April Fool’s Day Poem

A Fool’s Day Poem

by Ellie Cummins

It’s April Fool’s Day,
The day you dread
Of finding spiders in your bed
Or sharpie marker on your head
Or toilet paper in your shoes
Or things that glop and slop and ooze
Or vaseline upon your door
Or chewing gum stuck in your drawer
Or milk that really isn’t there
Or silly putty in your hair
Or strangers that you’ve met before
Or this
Or that
And much, much more.

  1. Hi Ellie!
It is great to hear from you on your blog again! I love your April Fool’s Day Poem. How did you know that I have either played there very tricks on people or had them played on me!
I want to tell you personally how much I have enjoyed the music video you did with your dad and siblings! You guys are all so talented. When I get lonesome for you all (which is pretty often), I watch the “Can’t Find” video and it makes me feel better. Do you REALLY have a dog now? Wow – that is huge!
    Love & Later
    Pat

    1. Hi, Mrs. Pat! Thank you! I’m glad you like our video. Sadly, we still don’t have a dog (Dad just won’t give :)). Our friends, the Pongratz family, let us use their dog, Fresca, in the video. She’s really cute and well behaved. Love and miss you! Love, Ellie 🙂

  2. Ellie, with such an imagination I’m really glad that you take it easy on me on April Fool’s Day 😉

  3. Awesome and fun to read! I think I’ve had all those things done to me. Much more fun when I read about them in your poem!

    1. Thank you! It’s a lot more fun to read about pranks then to get them pulled on you!
