Secrets in the River – An Original Poem
Secrets in the River
By Ellie Cummins
In the rushing, glinting water
Raced a secret wouldn’t spill
As it gushed away from questions
With it’s frigid, iron will
No more talk and no more chatter
Water called, and hurried on
Keeping always to a clatter
So to mask the morning dawn
No more questions, no more answers,
Look this way until it’s past
For the water does move swiftly
And its secrets all are fast.
