A Laugh to Wake the World – An Original Poem
A Laugh to Wake the World
Ellie Cummins
In forest deep,
A laugh rang out
And tickled all the trees
The world asleep
Professed to pout,
And waited for the breeze.
The laugh soared on
As sunlight drowsed
And gently bid it rise.
In bashful dawn
The world was roused,
And opened sleepy eyes.
The sky turned gold
The wind took hold,
And morning came quite fast.
All this because
A laugh was bold,
And woke the world at last.
What are you looking forward to this week?
A great laugh–even one of those that make you cry — that’s what I would like this week. Let’s see if it happens! Love you, Ellie. Wonderful poetry–always like what I read and anticipate more!! G’Ma
I hope you get it, Grandma! Thank you for your comment. Love you muchly.
