How has your week been?
Mine’s been pretty fantastic. I spent eight or nine hours editing, re-learned how to do flips on the trampoline with Anna, and enjoyed the cool air of our newly installed A/C.
I’m pumped to be writing this post, because I’m finally unveiling a secret that I’ve wanted to spill the beans on for a long time.
For the last nine months, I’ve been working on a creation all my own – my first full-length novel!
It’s utopian, mildly sci-fi, and written for kids ages twelve and up.
I’m aiming to release Day of Dust in the summer of 2018 (only a few months away!), and I’m so excited to hear what you think.
If you’d like to read a little more about it, I’ve included the summary below.
Day of Dust – A Teaser
Caius Faulk has lived his entire life in relative peace, trusting his cuff to protect him from the Veiled Evil and shutting out the dreadful memories of the Day of Dust.
But after his parents are murdered by the people he’s known all his life, he begins to question the things he’s always accepted—The Rules, his strangely perfect city, and even the evil’s existence.
It takes a somber little girl, a daring Outsider, and his own sister’s staggering discovery to set his rebellion into action, and, as it turns out, to help him out of it, too.
More to come on this!
Update (4/9): I posted the new book cover design for Day of Dust here!
